Nice post, Chris. Lately, we've been doing the "Incan Warrior Breakfast"...

Quinoa mixed with berries, diced apple, pecans, a dash of cinnamon & nutmeg and then we top it with either full fat cream or coconut milk.

It tastes unbelievable! You should definitely give it a try.

Be well,
Chris Lopez

I have been wanting to mix things up for breakfast. I tend to eat the same thing all the time. Thanks for the ideas! :-)

Also what's in that first pic?

There isn't any link to a recipe. Looks like polenta with nuts and fruit.

By the way, you look very good.

@ Unfortunately the first pic is not included in the recipes. Its just some good looking food I found on Flickr the closest thing on the menu would be the Pumpkin recipe....

These are some good ideas. I've got to try coconut oil. I'm a bacon and eggs girl but I don't add fruit all the time. I have to do that more.

The whole paleo thing sounds good but I'm afraid I still like my toast. Oh well, nobody's perfect. Thanks for your great ideas.

I love to chop up a a handful of spinach and half a tomato to throw into my eggs. Shake in some red pepper flakes and you're in business!

@ Nate: Thats a great idea and something that is often overlooked. Sneaking some greens into breakfast is a really good way to make a tasty egg dish...I usually make omelets with spinach and cheese inside. Amazing!

Wow, I hadn't thought to use sardines in lieu of bacon. Great idea!

Some great-sounding breakfasts here Chris. I prefer to substitute sardines for the bacone because of the nasties they put in there, but the egg-fruit combination is always a winner. Did you realise the first photo is tagged 'breakfast_polenta_recipe'? I think Polenta is basically ground cornmeal, so this might come under the heading processed cereal ;-)

Thanks for the props Chris! I usually only eat breakfast on the weekends (non work days). My breakfast is usually a stack of bacon, 4 fried eggs and some pork sausage all smothered in salsa... yummmmmm I am drooling already.
