Walking really helps me relieve stress. Before reaching my boiling point or dropping f-bombs I like to drop what I'm doing and go for a quick 5 minute walk.

Thanks for great advice on a consistent basis. I always look forward to your posts. Any specific recommendations on music or podcasts?

@ Mike: I really love listening to the Zencast to relax, Also investing in a Buddha Machine is something worthwhile it plays really relaxing loops which are great to listen to while doing deep breathing or meditation.

Out of interest, what would the results be? What does the deep breathing exercises allow you to do?

I do many of them, but I am going to try the deep breathing, many times I find myself that I am holding my breath and am not breathing , even when I am doing work outs!!

@ Thania: Its really essential you get your breathing right. Try it each night when you have 10 minutes of down time. Keep it consistent and try to do it everyday for a few weeks at least I am certain you will feel the results.....

I definitely agree with you about reading to relax and quiet your mind. For me, it doesn't matter what I read as long as it's interesting. It's just one of those things that I can completely focus on, and I love that. Have you read any Eckhart Tolle? His books "A New Earth" and "The Power of Now" are both great and really address this stuff in detail.

Great post!
