@ Kat: I love the article you linked up, your blog looks awesome! Seasonal eating is something that makes a lot of sense, its no coincidence a watermelon is far more appealing on a hot summers day than a cold November morning!
@ Tom: Pineapple is also a great digestive aid, the part that helps digestion the most in the harder part of the pineapple its packed with digestion easing enzymes....

Gotta agree with you on the pineapple Chris. I've been having it for my breakfast with natural yoghurt recently and it tastes absolutely fantastic.

This is a great article. We need more people spreading the word that it's not all about more more more weights! If you're not convinced then just look at those guys in the gym who've been doing the same tired old split body program for the past year, two years, decade! Not only are they not in better shape, they've often developed all manner of chronic postural problems and generally have a dodgy shoulder, elbow, knee, all of the above! Our bodies are designed to adapt to new stimulus and this is by far the best way to get in great shape.

Oh - and loving the seasonal eating pitch! If anyone is interested I wrote an article on seasonal eating and how it helps you reach your ideal health and weight:

@ Parth: You have nailed it their is no reason to go through cutting and bulking cycles unless bodybuilding is your profession, It doesn't mean we can't put on size its just easier to put on strength and weight slowly and stay lean and healthy!
@ Andrew: The social aspect of playing a sport weekly is something I forgot about but it is something that is essential for long term happiness, being part of a team is a great thing....

I like the concept of joining a weekend sports league. It creates a commitment that will keep you exercising while having fun, being outside, and meeting new people. Thanks for the post!

All the Best,

Wow, some really great tips here man. I really disagree with the bulking/cutting cycles that people do. If you're not a competitive bodybuilder, you shouldn't train like a bodybuilder. Just push your body, and it will improve.
