I'm curious about the "don't use a microwave".

I've just started using one at work for the first time in my life to heat my morning oatbran. What is wrong with it?

Jon, Microwaves give off bad radiation and kill the nutrients in the food. If you have no other option it is fine, but try not to microwave the majority of your food. As a rule of the thumb I like to reccomend keeping microwaves out of the home....

Great list. I'd add: Get some sunshine and walk barefoot once in a while.

@ Jonathan: Great suggestion about walking barefoot. I was reading an article in about Laird Hamilton and he believes that walking barefoot allows us to absorb the earth's natural energy and therefore we should try and do it when we can, guess its time to hit the beach!

Toxic people... that is so true. It's sad but I'm beginning to consider my old friends toxic people. They have jobs that they hate and try to escape their lives through alcohol and drugs, mindless TV, chaotic and unfulfilling relationships, and music that is bitter, hateful and loud. I've become so distanced from that kind of thing that it's difficult to even hear about, let alone be around.

Do - Cook your own dinner

Don't - Use artificial sweeteners in your coffee / tea

@ Nate: Great stuff. Its so much easier and cheaper to cook for yourself and at least we know exactly what we are eating. I dropped all artificial sweetners (except the odd piece of gum) about a year ago and feel so much better for it. I get brain fog after too many artificial sweeteners.
