Lemon is a citric food. Do you still suggest it to people who have mild problem of heart burn/acidity?

@ Sudhit: I think it depends on your tolerance for citrus. If you have no problems or allergies I see no problems what so ever with including citrus and I actually find it can help with digestion and get rid of acidity.

@ Courtney: That's a great idea for convenience, can't believe I never thought of it myself!! Will have to make a batch of iced lemon cubes tomorrow morning....
@ Terry: Good to hear you already make use of Lemons. Limes aren't too different I just find they are not as effective as a good old lemon when used with hot water first thing in the morning.....I do live limes though for adding to my homemade coconut chicken curry.....
@ Yavor: Grapefruits are amazing check my previous post on them here...... they are probably one of the most potent fruits available I love having half after dinner.

Thanks for posting this! We just bought a bunch of grapefruits and lemons. I think I might juice them, put the juice in an ice cube tray/freeze, and plop a cube in with my water and tea!

Great post. I love lemons and put them in all sorts of things. Limes, too. I imagine they're similar.

I didn't know a lot of the health benefits though. It's always nice to hear that something you love is good for you too. Thanks!

Years ago, I had heard this idea but could not get into the habit of it. This morning, I tried the Hot Lemon tea with GREAT results. I highly recommend this simple idea. Thanks for sharing it.

Good stuff! I will try it and see if I can feel any difference. I would imagine there's some Vit C in there as an added bonus!

In high school, I used to drop a few lemon slices in my water jug during morning practice. I don't know if it made me feel any different, but it sure did taste good!
